Disclosure: Jumpbit builds the tool used in this guide. It is listed in the directory under the same rules as every other tool, see the editorial policy.
Choose a standard
- SPL token: the original standard, widely supported.
- Token-2022: adds extensions such as transfer fees, which change how transfers behave. See what Token-2022 fees are.
Steps
- Open a no-code token creator such as Jumpbit Token Creator, which creates SPL and Token-2022 tokens from a form.
- Enter the name, symbol, decimals, supply and image.
- Decide whether to keep or revoke mint and freeze authority, see how to revoke authorities.
- Sign, and confirm the token on a block explorer.
- Add liquidity and consider locking it, see the lockers page.
What Jumpbit's token creator states
Jumpbit lists a flat 0.05 SOL to create a token, says revoking mint, freeze and update authority is free, and advises holding at least 0.052 SOL in the wallet for fees. Required fields are name, symbol, decimals, total supply and an image under 2MB (PNG, GIF, JPG, WEBP or SVG), and you can add a description and social links. Tokens it calls SPL22 support built-in transfer fees for tax tokens. Its page compares itself with creators charging 0.1 to 0.3 SOL plus 0.1 SOL per revoke, which is its own comparison.
Costs and alternatives
Creator fees vary, from a launchpad with no platform fee to creators charging 0.5 SOL. See real costs and compare on the token creators page.
