The problem
Wallets collect empty accounts and unwanted spam tokens. Each account holds a refundable rent deposit of about 0.00203928 SOL, so hundreds of accounts lock a meaningful amount. See what Solana rent is.
Recover and burn
Jumpbit Wallet Cleaner closes empty accounts and can burn spam tokens after a confirmation. Its page states a 5% fee on the SOL recovered, so recovering about 0.2 SOL from 100 accounts costs about 0.01 SOL, net about 0.1895 SOL after network fees. It works with one wallet or many, and a shield icon excludes marked tokens from Select All.
Be careful
- Closing is irreversible, and burning a token destroys it.
- Mark tokens you want to keep before selecting all.
- Some spam tokens are scams, so do not interact with them beyond burning.
