Why check before you buy
Many rugs share a few traits: authorities that let the creator mint or freeze, a few wallets holding most of the supply, or a token that buyers can purchase but not sell. A short checklist catches many of them before money is at risk.
The checks
- Simulated sell. A simulation tries a sell without sending it, so you see whether the token can be sold at all. Jumpbit Rug Check runs a simulated sell test.
- Mint authority. If it is still set, the creator can create more tokens and dilute holders.
- Freeze authority. If it is set, the creator can freeze your token account, see account frozen errors.
- Token-2022 extensions. Transfer fees, transfer hooks and similar settings can change what you receive. Jumpbit Rug Check checks for Token-2022 traps.
- Holder concentration and bundles. See how many launches are bundled.
- Liquidity and locks. See the lockers page.
How Jumpbit Rug Check works
Jumpbit says you paste a token address and it reads the mint account, simulates buying and selling on the main pool, measures holder structure from its own indexer, checks the developer's past launches and liquidity, and combines them into a 0 to 100 score and an A to F grade. The sell test is a simulated transaction in which a fresh wallet buys 0.1 SOL and sells half, plus sells from real recent buyers, run with Solana's simulateTransaction so nothing is signed or sent. For Token-2022 it checks permanent delegate, transfer hooks, default frozen accounts, pausable transfers, non-transferable mints, transfer fees including scheduled increases, balance rescaling, mint close authority and mutable metadata. It shows RugCheck and GoPlus results alongside its own. It is free with no login.
What a check cannot tell you
A clean result does not predict price, and a creator can still sell a large holding. Use more than one source, compare tools on the rug checkers page, and read what a rug pull is. Open Jumpbit Rug Check.
