Disclosure: Jumpbit builds Multisender, one of the tools covered here. We list every tool under the same rules and show only values each tool states. See the editorial policy.
Plan the airdrop
- Decide the rule. Who qualifies, and how much each wallet gets: equal, proportional or custom. Fixed lists are simplest to send.
- Build the recipient list. For holders of an existing token, take a snapshot of every holder at one moment. Jumpbit's Token Snapshot lists every holder of a token at a single time.
- Clean it. Remove duplicates, program-owned and exchange addresses.
Pick how to send
- Standard transfers. Each recipient receives tokens directly. A new token account costs about 0.002 SOL of rent per recipient unless the tool pays it.
- ZK-compressed transfers. Compressed accounts do not need a rent-exempt balance, so sending is much cheaper. Light Protocol lists about 2,000,000 lamports for a regular token account against about 5,000 for a compressed one. Recipients must decompress to hold a regular token, and compression adds extra compute and tooling limits. See ZK-compressed airdrops.
Send it
Use a multisender, see how to send tokens to multiple wallets and the tool comparison. Jumpbit's Multisender sends SOL, SPL and Token-2022 tokens and offers a compressed mode.
Check before you press send
- Does the token have a freeze or mint authority? Recipients will check, see the rug checkers page.
- Is liquidity in place so recipients can sell? See lockers and launchpads.
- Do you have a plan for taxes? An airdrop can be taxable for recipients, see the tax tools page.
