What we measured
We took 888,743 wallets with 20 to 3,000 trades between 16 and 31 August 2026, ranked them by realised PnL in SOL, and checked their September 2026 results. Wallets are counted for September only if they made 20 or more trades.
| Late August group | Wallets | Traded 20+ times in September | Profitable in September | Share profitable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| All wallets | 888,743 | 456,025 | 78,385 | 17.2% |
| Top 10% by PnL | 97,715 | 49,979 | 27,628 | 55.3% |
| Top 1% by PnL | 7,469 | 3,032 | 2,109 | 69.6% |
| Lost money or broke even | n/a | 373,219 | 40,819 | 10.9% |
How to read it
- A strong August made a profitable September much more likely than a weak one. The top 10% were about five times as likely to be profitable as the wallets that had lost money.
- About half the wallets kept trading. Only 40.6% of the top 1% made 20 or more trades in September.
- Survivorship bias. We only count wallets that kept trading. Wallets that stopped, often after losses, are missing, which flatters every row. Treat the percentages as an upper bound.
- Profit in a wallet's own trades does not mean a follower profits. A copier buys later and pays more, see how to copy trade a wallet.
Limits
Two periods, one ledger, realised PnL in SOL only. It is a measurement of past results and not a recommendation. We do not list wallet addresses. Copy trading tools are on the copy trading page and wallet trackers on the wallet trackers page. For the overall distribution, see how profitable Solana wallets are.
