Steps
- Pick a terminal or bot. GMGN, Trojan and others offer copy trading, see the copy trading category.
- Choose a target wallet. Trojan's docs warn that wallets buying through custom programs cannot be copied, and unsupported pools fail. Wallets that buy in the first seconds of a launch are poor targets because you enter after them.
- Fund the execution wallet. Keep SOL for gas. GMGN recommends at least 0.05 SOL.
- Set the copy amount and filters. GMGN offers minimum and maximum copy amounts, market cap and liquidity limits, token age and a blacklist.
- Set slippage and fees. Copy trades usually need more slippage than manual trades. See what slippage is.
- Choose how to exit. Trojan offers Copy Sell, Auto Sell, or neither. GMGN does not follow the wallet's sells once take profit and stop loss are on.
Risks
You buy after the target, so the price is worse than theirs. A task may pause after repeated failures. Past performance of a wallet is not a guarantee.
