- Failure reason and filters. GMGN logs a specific reason for each failed trade on the strategy's detail page (the Filter List). Filters that block copies include market cap and liquidity limits, token age, minimum and maximum copy amounts, a "single coin position increase times" setting of 0 (no repeat buys of the same token), a platform filter and the blacklist.
- Balance. GMGN recommends keeping at least 0.05 SOL for gas. A sell also fails if the wallet holds no tokens.
- Paused task. After 3 consecutive failed copy trades GMGN pauses the task automatically and sends a reminder. It does not restart by itself, so restart it once the balance is sufficient.
- Slippage. If the tokens received fall below the allowed range, the transaction fails. GMGN suggests 30% to 35% for automated orders and 50% or more for new, popular tokens. Failures that reach the chain still use gas. See what slippage is.
- Priority fee and Anti-MEV. GMGN's suggested copy-trade setup is auto slippage, Anti-MEV off and a 0.002 to 0.006 SOL priority fee. Anti-MEV needs a priority fee of at least 0.002 SOL.
- Other. After turning on take profit and stop loss, the wallet's sells are not followed. Lightning mode can monitor selling before buying, which breaks auto-sell. Settings do not carry over between chains.
If you still cannot find the cause, GMGN's support guide suggests noting the issue and checking the browser console for red errors, or asking in its Telegram community. See GMGN and the trading terminals page.
