What a trading bot does
A trading bot lets you buy and sell tokens by command instead of through a wallet pop-up for each trade. Many run in Telegram, others as web terminals or desktop apps. They build and send the transaction for you, often with settings for slippage, priority fee and MEV protection.
How they work
- Keys. The bot either holds an encrypted key it generated for you, asks you to import a key, or has your wallet sign each trade. This decides who controls your funds, see safety and custody.
- Execution. It sends the swap through a router and DEX with the priority fee and tip you set.
- Features. Limit orders, take profit and stop loss, copy trading, sniping and auto-buy.
- Fees. Most charge about 1% per trade, from 0.5% to 1% among the tools we track, see stated fees.
