The creator fee
pump.fun's docs say the creator receives a portion of the total fee on every trade. It applies to coins on the bonding curve or PumpSwap from 13 May 2025. On SOL-paired bonding-curve coins the creator fee starts at 0.30% at low market caps and falls to 0.05% from 98,240 SOL. Every fee is collected in the quote asset of the pool, not in the coin being traded. Custom pair coins have a flat creator fee that the creator does not set.
How fees are claimed
Fees accumulate on-chain until they are claimed. The creator wallet collects them in the standard case. Newer contract changes add a permissionless sweep, so anyone can trigger the payout of protocol and creator fees.
Fee sharing
A creator can split the creator fee among up to 10 shareholders. Shares are set in basis points and must total exactly 10,000, which is 100%. Once a split exists, anyone can run a distribute call that pays every shareholder, so no single person needs to claim.
Other routes
- Holder rewards: at launch a creator can route the creator fee to the coin's holders. pump.fun pays them out and holders do not need to claim.
- Charity: creators who opt in can have the fee paid to a charity.
- Cashback: no longer available for new launches, though buyers of existing cashback coins can still claim.
Routing is set at launch and is fixed for the life of the coin, according to third-party tooling docs. Check pump.fun's fee page for current tables. To launch, see how to launch a coin on pump.fun. Unofficial services that hold unclaimed fees for creators are separate from pump.fun, so read their custody terms first.
