What a sniper does
A sniper bot buys a token as soon as it launches or migrates. Read what a sniper bot is.
Settings from Trojan's docs
Snipe slippage is separate from normal slippage. Trojan's docs say it typically needs a higher percentage to handle rapid price moves with the Migration Sniper. Priority fee and bribe speed up execution, and MEV protection, when on, uses the bribe to keep the transaction private. No numeric target is given, so test with small amounts.
GMGN
GMGN's alert and sniper pages cover Sniper New, Following and Limit Orders. Automated orders suggest slippage of 30% to 35%, and 50% or more for new, popular tokens, according to its fee guide.
Limits and risks
- High slippage is the main way people get sandwiched. If a token only fills when you keep widening slippage, cut the trade size instead.
- Failures that reach the chain still use gas.
- Wallets that buy in the first seconds are poor copy targets because you enter after them.
