Presets
Execution settings live in presets, and only one is active at a time. The Preset button opens a panel where you edit presets for regular buys and sells and for Auto Strat templates.
Slippage
The docs define slippage as the maximum percentage tolerance for a buy or sell, with a default of 10%. A BonkBot help article says raising it to 15% or 25% can improve success. One moderator's own setup, 20% for buys and 15% for sells, is described as suited to volatile new coins, which is one person's choice rather than a rule. Read what slippage is.
Priority fee
The priority fee is SOL added to improve the chance of fast execution. Auto Strat also offers preset tiers of medium, high, very high or custom per strategy.
MEV protection
The official docs describe protection as on by default, as the defense against frontrunning and sandwich attacks, and say Off is a low-latency route with higher MEV risk. The Turbo Mode docs recommend keeping MEV protection on. BonkBot help articles describe Turbo and Secure modes, and disagree with the docs about which is default, so check your own settings screen.
Auto buy
Auto Buy purchases a set amount when you send BonkBot a contract address. BonkBot does not ask for confirmation before buying, so the docs treat it as risky, and a moderator suggests newcomers keep it off.
Sell protection
Sell Protection adds a confirmation step to prevent accidental sales. Buy and sell button amounts are set in the Buy/Sell Buttons config.
The docs do not say whether Auto Buy reuses your active preset values, so confirm in the app. See BonkBot and the Telegram bots page.
