Is a Solana token creator safe? What to check

Short answer

Is a Solana token creator safe to use? What a legitimate creator transaction contains, the red flags in a wallet approval, how to check after creation that you hold the supply and every authority, and what no tool should ever ask for.

Tools covered

  1. JumpbitMulti-chain trading platform with trading bots, no-code token deployment and wallet monitoring; non-custodial.UpVisit

A no-code token creator is safe to use when you can see exactly what you sign: one transaction that takes the fee you were shown, creates the token, and sends the full supply to your wallet, with every authority you keep set to your own address. You never give a creator your recovery phrase, and a creator has no reason to ask your wallet to approve spending of tokens you already hold. Check the approval screen before you sign and the token in an explorer after.

What a normal creation transaction does

StepWhat you should see
FeeOne SOL transfer to the tool's fee address, matching the price shown
New accountsThe mint, its metadata and your token account, paid as small rent deposits
SupplyThe full supply minted to your wallet
AuthoritiesMint, freeze and update authority set to your wallet, or revoked if you chose
Nothing elseNo approvals, delegates or transfers of tokens you already own

Solana's own costs for this are about 0.0165 SOL for an SPL token and 0.0045 SOL for Token-2022, measured on mainnet on 3 November 2026, plus the tool's fee.

Red flags in the approval screen

  • SOL leaving your wallet is far above the price shown. Reject.
  • Your other tokens or NFTs appear in the balance changes. A creation transaction never needs them.
  • An approve or delegate instruction. That lets another address move your tokens later.
  • Several transactions to sign at once for a simple token. Ask why before signing all.
  • Wallet warnings about a malicious or unverified site. Stop and check the domain.
  • A request for your recovery phrase or private key. Never. No legitimate tool asks.

Check the token after creation

Open the new mint in a Solana explorer and confirm:

FieldExpected
SupplyThe amount you entered
Your balanceThe full supply, in your wallet
Mint authorityYour wallet, or none if revoked
Freeze authorityYour wallet, or none if revoked
Update authority (metadata)Your wallet, or none if revoked
Token-2022 extensionsOnly the ones you chose; no permanent delegate you did not ask for

If an authority points to an address you do not recognise, the tool kept control of your token. A permanent delegate or a transfer fee you did not set is a serious problem, see Token-2022 scam traps.

Choosing a creator

SignalWhy it helps
Prices and revoke fees stated before you connectNo surprises in the wallet
Non-custodial: you sign in your own walletThe tool never holds your keys
Open-source code or a published auditOthers can check what it does
Known metadata host such as Arweave or IPFSYour logo stays online
A track record you can verify on chainTokens it created are visible in explorers

How we checked

Transaction contents from the SPL Token, Token-2022, Associated Token Account and Metaplex Token Metadata instructions a creator uses; costs simulated on Solana mainnet on 3 November 2026.

Questions people ask

Is it safe to connect my wallet to a token creator?

Connecting shares only your public address. The risk is in what you approve, so read the approval screen before signing.

Can a token creator steal my tokens?

Only if you approve a transaction that transfers them or gives another address approval over them. A creation transaction needs neither.

How do I know I own the token I created?

The full supply is in your wallet and the mint, freeze and update authorities point to your wallet or are revoked. Check the mint in an explorer.

Should I give a token creator my seed phrase?

Never. No legitimate tool needs your recovery phrase or private key.

What should a token creator cost?

From nothing to 0.5 SOL in tool fees, plus Solana's rent and network fee. Some charge 0.1 SOL more for each revoke.
