The token account is owned by a different wallet than the one signing. You are trying to move tokens from an account you do not control, or the app picked the wrong account.

Error processing Instruction N: custom program error: 0x4

The token account is owned by a different wallet than the one signing. You are trying to move tokens from an account you do not control, or the app picked the wrong account.

Where it comes fromSPL Token program
Code4 (0x4) OwnerMismatch

How to fix it

  1. Confirm the connected wallet is the one that holds the tokens.
  2. If tokens sit in a non-associated account, select that account explicitly or move them to your associated token account.
  3. In multisig or delegated setups, sign with the owner or approved delegate.

If that is not it

  • If the error is 0x3, the account belongs to a different mint, not a different owner.

Questions people ask

What does "Owner does not match" mean?

The token account's owner is not the wallet that signed the transaction.

Can I fix it from another wallet?

Only the owning wallet, or a delegate it approved, can move those tokens.
