How to fix it

  1. Update the app or SDK; programs sometimes change seeds between versions.
  2. Recompute the program-derived address with the exact seeds and program ID the program uses.
  3. Check you are using the right pool, mint and wallet for the account in the error.

If that is not it

  • If the account is right but owned by another program, the error is 3007 instead.

Questions people ask

What does a seeds constraint mean?

The account must be the address derived from specific seeds; a different address is rejected.

Is this my fault as a user?

Usually it is an app or SDK issue; updating or using the official interface fixes it.
