How to read a bubble map

Each bubble is a wallet, sized by how much of the supply it holds. A line means the wallets have sent tokens or SOL to each other. What to look for:

  • A cluster of linked bubbles often means one person or team spread supply across wallets. Add their share together; 20 wallets with 2% each is one 40% holder.
  • Wallets funded from the same source in the minutes before launch are a classic sign of bundled or insider buys.
  • Large unlinked wallets may be exchanges, liquidity pools or lockers. Check the label before panicking.
  • Time travel matters. A clean map today can hide a cluster that already sold. Look at the map near launch.

What maps miss

Links only appear when wallets interact on-chain. Someone funding wallets through an exchange, a bridge or a mixer can look like strangers. A clean bubble map isn't proof of a fair launch; combine it with a rug checker and the launch's first trades. For pump.fun launches, see how common bundling is in our bundled launches data.

How to choose

  • Checking one token before buying: Bubblemaps for the picture, RugCheck for the score.
  • Investigating where money went: Arkham's Visualizer follows transfers across many hops and labels known entities.
  • Building a bot or terminal: InsightX or Bubblemaps APIs return clusters and holders as data.
  • Watching a token you hold: HolderScan shows whether holders are growing or whales are leaving.

The tools

Bubblemaps

Draws top holders as bubbles linked by transfers so clusters stand out, across Solana and other chains. V2 is free, including Magic Nodes, Time Travel and real-time data. BMT holders unlock top-1,000-holder maps, PnL, cross-chain analytics and AI explanations of clusters. Platforms embed maps by iframe; the Data API starts at $170 a month.

InsightX

Atlas Live is a real-time holder map that traces flows between wallets and detects proxy wallets, sold to platforms by quote for web, mobile and Telegram Mini Apps. The API covers holder distribution, clusters, snipers, bundlers, insiders and dev holdings over REST and WebSocket, free to 1,000 requests a month.

Arkham

A blockchain intelligence platform that labels wallets with the people and companies behind them. On Solana it offers the tracer, Visualizer and alerts. The Visualizer graphs transfers between wallets and entities, which suits tracing where funds went more than mapping one token's holders.

RugCheck

A free token risk report for Solana: mint and freeze authority, holder distribution, liquidity, insider signals and metadata, rolled into a risk score. Paid API plans from $40 a month.

HolderScan

Real-time holder data for 50,000+ tokens on Solana, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain: holder count changes, holder categories from new to diamond hands, cross-holdings and whales. Free plan; Premium $16 and Pro $42 a month billed every 3 months.

How we ranked

Tools that draw a map of how a token's holders are linked rank first, free before paid, then tools that show holder data without a link map. Ties go alphabetically. Features and prices were checked on each tool's own site or docs in October 2026. Editorial policy.

Questions people ask

What is the best bubble map for Solana tokens?

Bubblemaps V2 is free and shows linked holder clusters, hidden links through intermediary wallets and the map at past dates. InsightX offers a live holder map for platforms and an API that flags clusters, snipers and bundlers.

Is Bubblemaps free?

Yes. Bubblemaps V2 is free, including Magic Nodes, Time Travel and real-time data. Holding BMT unlocks extras such as maps of the top 1,000 holders, PnL and AI explanations of clusters.

How do I check if a token's supply is held by insiders?

Open the token on a bubble map and add up linked clusters, then run it through a rug checker such as RugCheck, which reports insider signals and holder distribution.

What does a cluster on a bubble map mean?

A group of wallets that have sent tokens or SOL to each other. It often means one owner, but exchanges and pools can create links too, so check labels.

Can a token look clean on a bubble map and still be insider-held?

Yes. Wallets funded through exchanges, bridges or mixers won't show links. Treat a clean map as one signal, not proof.
