Short answer
- Give an agent Solana actions: Solana Agent Kit, a free, open-source toolkit with 60+ Solana actions (swaps, bridging, NFTs, lending, staking) that plugs into LangChain or the Vercel AI SDK.
- Teach a coding agent Solana: Solana Skills, free skills for Claude Code and other agents covering DeFi protocols, infrastructure and security.
- Market data in Claude or Cursor: Birdeye MCP has a keyless public server to start; MadeOnSol MCP adds KOL and deployer data, free to 200 requests a day.
- Let an agent pay for APIs: pay.sh, a free Solana Foundation CLI for x402 payments with a sandbox wallet. To accept agent payments, PayAI settles them for about $0.00133 each on Solana.
- No code, just chat: Bankr or Griffain run agents with built-in wallets.

What each piece does
Toolkits and frameworks give your own agent code the ability to read Solana and sign transactions. Solana Agent Kit is Solana-specific; elizaOS is a general agent framework you extend with plugins.
MCP servers connect assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to live data through the Model Context Protocol. Most are read-only: they look up prices, holders and wallets but don't trade.
Agent payments use HTTP 402 (x402): an API answers with a price, the agent pays in USDC on-chain, and the call goes through. No accounts or API keys.
Agent apps are finished products: you chat, and the agent swaps or launches tokens from a wallet it controls.
Keep agents from draining you
- Separate wallet, small balance. Give an agent its own wallet funded with only what it may spend.
- Spend caps. Use per-service limits where offered (Dexter has them) and set a budget for paid APIs.
- Read-only first. Start with MCP servers that only read data, then add signing once you trust the flow.
- Never paste a seed phrase into a prompt, config file or chat.
- Watch prompt injection. Token names, tweets and web pages can carry instructions. Don't let an agent act on text it fetched without confirmation.
How to choose
- Building a bot or app: Solana Agent Kit plus an MCP server for data.
- Using Claude Code or Cursor to build: Solana Skills for know-how, an MCP server for live data.
- Selling an API to agents: PayAI to settle x402 payments.
- Not a developer: Bankr or Griffain, with a small balance.
The tools
Solana Agent Kit
SendAI's toolkit: any agent, any model, 60+ Solana actions through token, NFT, DeFi and misc plugins, with LangChain and Vercel AI SDK integrations. SendAI's Solana MCP server exposes the same tools to MCP clients.
Solana Skills
Agent skills from SendAI and Superteam covering DeFi protocols, infrastructure and security, installed in Claude Code as a plugin marketplace.
elizaOS
The most-starred open-source agent framework here: TypeScript, MIT-licensed, updated daily, and run on your own machines. General-purpose, so Solana actions come from plugins you add.
Birdeye MCP
Birdeye's official MCP server for token, price and wallet data. A keyless public endpoint works for testing; an API key unlocks every tool on your data plan with higher rate limits.
MadeOnSol MCP
An npm MCP server for MadeOnSol's KOL and deployer intelligence. Free tier: 200 requests a day with live feeds 5 minutes behind; paid plans are real-time.
Quicknode MCP
Hosted MCP server connecting a Quicknode account to Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and more. Reads live chain data and manages endpoints, usage and billing. An official connector in Anthropic's MCP directory.
pay.sh
A Solana Foundation CLI that handles x402 payments for agents and scripts. Sandbox mode funds a throwaway wallet; mainnet keys live in the OS keychain, topped up by PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay or a Solana wallet.
Dexter
A self-custodial wallet and payments platform for agents with MCP connectors. Paid services set a per-call USDC price shown before payment, with spend caps per service.
PayAI
An x402 facilitator for Solana and EVM. 1,000 free credits, then $0.001 per credit; each payment costs network gas plus 30%, about 1.33 credits on Solana, never a percentage of the payment.
Bankr
A multi-chain agent platform with built-in wallets, a REST agent API, CLI and skills. Agents launch a token for free and trading fees on it pay for their compute and gas.
Griffain
Chat with agents on Solana that swap tokens and run tasks from your Griffain wallet. Unlocking the wallet lets agents sign; locking it revokes access. Actions cost energy at 1 USDC each.
How we ranked
Tools are grouped by job (toolkits and skills, MCP data servers, agent payments, agent apps) in the order a builder needs them. Within each group, free and open-source tools come first, then by published price; GitHub stars break ties between open-source tools. elizaOS ranks after the Solana-specific toolkits because it isn't Solana-specific. Checked on each tool's docs and GitHub in October 2026. Editorial policy.
